Chilly Philly temps may not be ideal conditions for outdoor activities... unless, of course, you're looking to tear up some snow-covered, high-altitude terrain. Before the thermometer hits higher ground for good, revel in all the glories of winter with this snow-bound Adventure: a day of skiing or snowboarding, including a meal and transportation.

We'll meet our team of snow bunnies outside of the 30th Street Station in Philly and board a coach bus for a 2.5-hour ride to Snö Mountain in Scranton, where Mother Nature works in conjunction with powerful snow machines to provide nice white runs. We'll get our rentals (choose skis, poles, and boots, or a snowboard with boots), our lift tickets, and a meal voucher, and then we'll be released on the mountain for five hours of skiing excitement. Whether it's easy-does-it or steep drops and bowls that suit our fancy, Snö Mountain has green, blue, and black runs in separate areas of the mountain. Throughout the day, we can rely on the Adventures staff to guide us to the best spots.

If our stomachs start growling at any point in the day, we'll take a break and head to the lodge with our meal voucher to gather an entrée, one side, and a soft drink, and we'll warm up with hot chocolate. More food and drinks are available for cash, so be sure to bring a little extra. When we've skied and boarded 'til our limbs go limp, we'll return our equipment and hop on the bus back to Philly, satisfied at an experience that fulfilled our appetite for outdoor winter chill.
